Physical AI Pflege Lab

More capacity
for care.

Training Physical AI for the places where human presence matters most.

Why this lab should exist

Why this exists

“I cannot always be there for my father. But perhaps we can build technology that helps someone be there.”

Dela Kunzmann, founder

The founder’s story

A video call is how I am there.

My father lives on another continent. He increasingly needs care, his care is expensive, and he depends on me. I live in Germany. I cannot be there every day.

At the same time, rapid progress in AI has changed my own working life. I decided not to treat AI only as a threat — but to work with it, and to point it at a problem I understand from the inside.

Care is not short of compassion. It is short of time. Nurses and caregivers spend a large share of every shift walking, fetching, carrying and restocking. Those tasks are physical, repetitive and predictable — exactly the kind of work Physical AI may one day take on safely. The empathy, the judgment and the relationship should stay with people.

Physical AI Pflege Lab is my attempt to make that future arrive carefully: trained, tested and validated before any robot enters a real care home.

Connected, across the distance

From one family to a whole system

  1. 01 · Personal problem

    Not able to be there

Families live far apart. Care relies on others being present.

  2. 02 · Systemic problem

    Care is short of time

An ageing population and a shortage of care staff put pressure on every shift.

  3. 03 · Technological opportunity

    Physical AI matures

Robots are learning to perceive, grasp and navigate — but not yet in care settings.

  4. 04 · Company

    A lab in between

A place to train and validate robots for real Pflege environments.

The objective is not fewer caregivers

Less repetitive work+more human time.

Physical AI should create more time for human care — not less humanity in care.

What we will build

Train robots before they enter care.

We will not build robots. We will help existing robots learn, and prove, what care settings require.
